Every brand has a story. And for us, the name WynnShield is more than just a clever play on words.
Named After Wynn
The inspiration came from our wonderful daughter, Wynn. From the very beginning, we knew this venture wasn’t just about creating a product. It was about building a meaningful brand, something with legacy attached to it. Naming the company after Wynn felt natural. She represents the future, and WynnShield is about protecting what matters most.
One of the main reasons to create WynnShield came from our own experiences as parents. Like most little kids, ours loved grabbing our phones, and sometimes even putting them in their mouths along with their fingers.
That terrified us. Our phones had been everywhere, including hospitals and other unsanitary places like the bathroom. We knew just how contaminated devices could get, and the thought of our children being exposed to that was not ideal.
So, the idea of “shielding Wynn”, literally protecting her from a dirty phone, became part of the story. From there, WynnShield grew into a solution that shields not only our family, but anyone who uses their phone in messy, high-risk environments.
A Play on Words
Of course, the name WynnShield sounds a lot like windshield. We liked that, because windshields protect us every day, shielding us from dirt, debris, and the outside world while we drive.
When people hear WynnShield, they may pause, ask questions, or even get a little confused at first. And that’s okay. In fact, it’s exactly what we want. Curiosity sparks conversation, and every conversation is a chance to share our mission.
The Meaning in WYNN
Beyond being our daughter’s name, WYNN also stands for:

It reflects our belief that cleaner, safer mobile devices are a real need today. Phones go everywhere with us: hospitals, job sites, gyms, kitchens, even bathrooms. They’re essential, but also one of the dirtiest things we touch daily.
